Koumbit will be closed on March 8th for Women's International Day. We invite you all to come to the annual demonstration by Women of Diverse Origins.
Koumbit is looking to hire two new members of our systems administration and infrastructure team at 25 hours per week. The current hourly rate is $22.41, with an expected starting date in beginning of February 2023, with some flexibility.

As you may know, PHP 5.6 reached its end of life a few years ago (January, 2017). The last security updates have been applied in December, 2018.
We understand that switching to a newer version of PHP can require some work, which was a reason to let you use it until now.
However, we have to move forward and stop maintaining deprecated versions of PHP which don't receive any security updates.
For clients in our self-managed hosting service, PHP 8.1 is now available as a choice for powering your web sites.
This option may be activated by going to the control panel and changing the type of a sub-domain to "Locally hosted (PHP 8.1)". Please note that this change updates the DNS entry, and the time until it becomes effective will vary based on the TTL you have configured for your domain. You can check your domain's TTL by editing it and clicking on the "settings" tab.

If your website is built with Drupal 8, you likely already know that this version of Drupal will reach 'end of life' in November 2021.
Update 1:15 PM: The phone line is back in working order. Technical support by phone will resume its normal pace tomorrow morning!
Important : Our VoIP provider is experiencing a major service outage this tuesday september 7th which renders our phone line unusable.
Our provider is currently working towards resolution of this issue, and we must unfortunately wait for them to fix it.
