Dear Users, Allies and Colleagues,
Koumbit will be closed this Wednesday, May 1st for International Workers Day, commonly known as May Day. Our emergency on-call services will continue to be available. We will be open again at our usual hours on Thursday, May 2nd.
On the week end of march 23rd and 24th, from 9AM to 5PM there will be a Debian meetup combined with projections of the talks from the LibrePlanet 2019 conference, live from Boston. Come and visit whenever suits you during this time!
Koumbit's office, including the telephone support line, will be closed on Friday, March 8, to highlight International Women's Day. As always, our on-call team will reply to any emergencies. The office will be open again on the Monday, March 11.
Join the Koumbit collective for a training on overdose response and naloxone administration!
The Koumbit collective will have an external facilitator coming in on April 11th from 3pm - 4:30pm to give a naloxone and overdose response training to all employees. We have extra spots, and would be happy to have you join!
All participants will leave with a free naloxone kit. The training will be given in french.

Koumbit has done the updates related to today's security warning coming from the security team at Drupal.
Drupal core - Highly critical - Remote Code Execution - SA-CORE-2019-003
We will be changing which host key types the server redmine.koumbit.net (aka. git.koumbit.net) shows to users connecting via SSH. Starting Monday Feburary 18th 2019 only RSA and ED25519 host keys will be shown. If you had previously connected via SSH and accepted a DSA or ECDSA key, you will need to remove those fingerprints from your known hosts file and accept the RSA/ED25519 host key fingerprint.
Here is an example of how to remove the fingerprints via command-line:

Celebrate with us our first year anniversary in the office at 1883 Amherst street! The event will be held on Thursday November 29th from 6PM until metro lines close. You will also have the chance to see our new banner that has just been installed.
Koumbit will offer some snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. We also invite you to bring alcoholic drinks if you'd like to drink them and maybe share them. RSVP to info@koumbit.org would be appreciated but it is not mandatory.
